How do you save energy? By using the energy of steam!

The air, initially in chamber, circulates through hot and cold chamber during drying process. In hot chamber, designated for fruit drying, hot air collects moisture from fruit, that is, transforms water to steam, thus creating mixture of hot air and water vapor. Such mixture, rich with water vapor, enters cold chamber, from which vapor is separated from air using condensation – the steam transforms into water, returning heat to the system, where it is used for drying in heat chamber during every cycle. That way, the closed-system dryer uses energy recovered from steam.

In open-system dryer, the heated air, together with water vapor, is irretrievably lost into atmosphere.

Water vapor is exceptionally energy – rich (the first steam machines used that energy to power trains); it can be used in multiple useful ways, as OPTIMONIA “CS” does so, reducing energy consumption 3 to 5 times!

The 32,4 m2 dryer saves over 100 000 kWh annually!

HIGH QUALITY DRIED PRODUCT

Unlike open – system, the product isn’t contaminated!

In closed – system there is no air exchange, that way the product isn’t dust contaminated, unlike open – system, in which product is dusted through new air.

The product maintains color, vitamins and taste.

As closed – system dryers operate at lower temperatures (up to 60 oC) - technology experts recommend drying on lowest temperature possible.

PRACTICALITY

- OPTIMONIA “CS” dryer is capacity flexible.

- The closed – system enables it to operate in any type of space, since it exerts water, not steam (unlike open – system), so it doesn’t moisten the room (i.e. during one drying cycle of 400 kg of fruit, 300 kg of water is exerted on average).

- It is simple to operate, simple selection of the desired drying mode and selection of the degree of automatic regulation.
